2 Was it a Murder or Murder without intention? Colonel in trouble.

A harrowing incident happened on August 2, 2017 on the road dividing 34 and 44 when col. Manveer Bains had an altercation with Praveen Yadav, 38 years, now dead after the incident.  In charge sheet submitted to the court the colonel is charged for both offences under Section 302 muder and 304 (2) punishment for homicide not amounting to murder.

Interestingly which means if charges under 302 is not proved then colonel will be punished under 304 (2).

Col Bains for earlier booked for Murder by police but later after investigation police dropped charge of 302 and applied 304(2) because on investigation no injury marks were present  on the body of Yadav. Later this was confirmed by the post mortem report.

Col Bains is out on bail granted by Punjab and Haryana High Court and was on study leave from the Army  when this incident happened.
